United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
1. Title: Programme Officer (JPO)
Sector: Climate Change Mitigation and Green Growth
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in climate change, energy, natural resources, economics, social science or related fields.
• At least two years, preferably three years of experience in program/project development, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Good knowledge of climate change mitigation and/or renewable energy.
• Experience preferably in a developing country and/or in the Asian region.
• Full command of English.
2. Title: Junior Professional Officer (JPO)
Sector: Governance and Peacebuilding / Disability Rights
Location: UNDP Regional Service Centre for Africa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in law, political science, human rights, international relations or social sciences.
• At least two years, preferably three years, of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in disability rights and programming is an asset.
• Fluency in English. Proficiency in French is preferred.
International Trade Centre (ITC)
Title: Junior Professional Officer (JPO)
Sector: Trade Facilitation and Policy for Business Policy
Location: Geneva, Switzerland
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, international law or other related discipline.
• At least two years, preferably three years, of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in working on issues relating to multilateral / regional / bilateral trade negotiations.
• Knowledge of the international trading system.
• Fluency in English with a working knowledge of French or Spanish. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.
United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)
1. Title: Junior Professional Officer (JPO)
Sector: Procurement Services / Medical Devices
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, medical engineering, clinical engineering, health technology or related science subject that covers medical devices or health technologies.
• At least two years, preferably three, of experience with medical devices or clinical settings.
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of other working languages of the UN is an asset.
2. Title: Human Resources Policy Analyst (JPO)
Sector: Human Resources Policy
Location: New York, USA
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in human resources, law, administration social sciences or related fields.
• At least two years, preferably three, of experience in human resources, law, administration, or policy development.
• Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members from different national and cultural backgrounds.
• Fluency in English.
Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)
Title: Associate Expert in Humanitarian Affairs (JPO)
Sector: Coordination and Response Division / Somalia
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in political and/or social science, international relations, public administration, law, economics, engineering, earth sciences or related fields.
• Two years, preferably three years, of relevant professional experience in humanitarian affairs, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management, rehabilitation, development or other related areas.
• Knowledge of international agencies’ operations related to humanitarian assistance and familiarity with the UN system.
• Fluency in English required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
Hakuaika päättyy 8.2.2016 klo 16.15 (Suomen aikaa).
Mitä hakijoilta vaaditaan?
YK-apulaisasiantuntijoiksi hakevilta edellytetään
- ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa,
- erinomaista englannin kielen taitoa,
- toisen YK:n virallisen kielen taitoa,
- 2 vuotta koulutusta vastaavaa työkokemusta,
- Suomen kansalaisuutta sekä
- korkeintaan 32 vuoden ikää.
Tehtävien kesto on kaksi vuotta (kolmas vuosi mahdollinen).
