World Federation of UN Associations (WFUNA) järjestää heinäkuun 17.-20. nuorille tarkoitetun ihmisoikeuskoulutuksen "So, you want to be the next High Commissioner?" Genevessä. Koulutukseen voivat hakea esimerkiksi Suomen YK-liiton paikallisyhdistysten ja SYKLI:n jäsenet.

So, you want to be the next High Commissioner? Human Rights training for UNA Youth, to be held from 17 - 20 July 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland
• Details: The training will take place from 17 - 20 July at the Palais des Nations, Geneva.
• Registration: Registration is open to around 30 young UNA members, who ideally have a strong affiliation with their UNA and have worked with a UNA in recent years.
• Follow-up activities: Youth should be committed to engage in human rights related follow-up activities to be carried out in collaboration with their UNAs. Participants will use the acquired skills in human rights advocacy and awareness raising project management in order to develop and implement projects in their countries or communities. WFUNA will monitor these and provides guidance and feedback beyond the actual training event.
• Fees: UNA members will benefit from preferential participation fees at 200 CHF/ 218 USD / 167 EUR for participants from developed countries and 150 CHF / 165 USD / 125 EUR for participants from developing countries. Please note that this fee relates to the tuition only and does not cover travel costs, accommodation or meals during the training.
• Logistics: Given that cheap hostels are very difficult to find in Geneva, WFUNA has already reserved budget accommodation at the Geneva Youth Hostel which can be paid by participants together with the tuition fee once their visit to Geneva is confirmed. The cost for the five nights amounts to 183 USD and includes breakfast and a public transport card. For lunch and dinner you can estimate daily costs of 35 CHF (29 EUR / 38 USD). WFUNA will cover coffee breaks (including biscuits and refreshments) during the training days.
