Internship - World Food Programme Nordic Office
The WFP is recruiting four public information and external communications interns for the Nordic Liaison Office in Copenhagen. The duration of the internship is 6 months, starting the 25th of January and ending the 7th of August.
World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. Each year, we reach more than 90 million people with food assistance in over 70 countries. WFP is part of the United Nation system and voluntarily funded.
WFP Nordic Liaison Office, based in Copenhagen, raises awareness of the plight of hunger and malnutrition and we use all possible platforms to reach out to the broad cross-section of stakeholders - from ministers, politicians, donors and partner organisations to media and the general public. We lecture at schools and universities, we participate in meetings, workshops and conferences, we reach out to the general public through the different external media platforms and we also promote our work through our own homepages and social media channels.
The WFP Nordic Liaison office serves as liaison between the WFP headquarters, regional and country offices and donor and other partner representatives in the Nordic countries.
Through our internship programme we employ 4 students - one from each of the Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The internship starts on 25th of January and ends on the 7th of August 2012.
